PART 1: Jesus command to the church:
Matthew 28:19 -20
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[1] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Go = "as you go." We should make disciples as we live our lives.
What 3 things are Christians to do as they go?

PART 2: How we respond (example-Peter)
Acts 2: 37
When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"
The people were willing to listen to Peter as he told them how to respond to Jesus. Believe it or not, people are still willing to listen today. Are you willing to guide them?
Think of 2 people who might be willing to listen to you tell about Jesus. List them here.

Acts 2: 38
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit
Repent = Change your mind, heart, attitude, and behavior. "Turn" away from sin and towards God.
Be baptized = Baptism is a symbol of being born again. If you read the next few verses, you will see that 3000 people were baptized THAT DAY. They did not wait a week , a month, 3 years. God designed this to be so simple.
1. Repent and believe in Jesus.
2. Get baptized as a symbol of your new faith
3. Follow Jesus as Lord!
Why do we humans complicate things so much?
PART 3: How we respond (example-Paul)
Acts 16:30
He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
Paul was in prison. As the prison guard brought him out, he asked Paul how to be saved (saved=become a Christian)
Acts 16:31
They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."
Paul's responce was simple....and personal. Everyone needs to choose Jesus personally

PART 4: The Big Picture is.....
Christians need to witness. (aka... Christians need to teach others about Jesus)
People need to get saved by repenting (turning from sins, and towards God) and believing (trusting Jesus as Lord and Savior) After doing that, people should be baptized as a symbol of getting saved.
PART 4: Bible Verse Memory Challenge!
Memorize Matthew 28: 19-20 today. Memorize a section at a time until you can do the whole thing. Here is a way to break it down.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always,
to the very end of the age."
Memorize the first line first; then the first + the second; then the 1st, 2nd, 3rd together; etc. By doing this, you will soon have both verses complete!
