The 13 Mile Walk
Dozens of Christian youth, including four from Camarillo carried the cross for about 5 minutes each.
Megan, Jeni, Colin, and D.J. each carried the cross.

The Finish Line!!!
We ran the last 500 feet up the hill. Then we gathered at the historic cross Father Serra placed above downtown Ventura 300 years ago for a time of teaching and worship.
Here's the math: 200 youth x 13 miles of walking = 6,864,000 steps taken.
(also 6 hours walking, 700 bottles of water consumed, and $3200 worth of pure profit for Reebock)

Just a thought - We should thank God that the cross is still there. Recently, a group of atheists tried to force its removal, but fortunately, Ventura was able to sell the cross to a Christian group that was dedicated to preserving it forever. It is too bad that some people hate Christianity so much that they will attack historical landmarks like the cross above Ventura in Grant park, the pledge of allegance, the boyscouts, and every other hint of Christianity that exists in public life. The Bible tells us in Revelation that it will someday be illegal to even be a Christian. What we are seeing now.... is just the beginning.

Thank you to the Lord Jesus Christ for carrying the real cross for us 2000 years ago.
Thank you also to Channel Islands Vineyard Church in Oxnard for sponsoring the Crosswalk.
